Planning a Charleston Stay

The recommendations our guests ask for most, gathered in one place

Our house sits in the middle of everything, so the best plans are simple ones. Start at the City Market, where the famous Gullah basket ladies weave sweetgrass the way they have for generations, then follow the street to King Street's shops and galleries. We keep a walking map of the neighborhood at the front desk for every guest.

For a deeper look at the grand past, book the historic home and garden tours — the Edmondston-Alston House, Heyward-Washington House and Calhoun Mansion are all within a short walk. St. Philip's Church and its famous church tours are just around the corner.

Evenings are for the water. Stroll the Battery and Waterfront Park, take a horse drawn carriage ride after dark, or simply sit on the rooftop deck and watch the sunset over two centuries of rooftops and chimneys.

Not sure which unit fits your party? The full guide to our seven units covers sleeping capacities from two to fourteen, and rates and policies are published in full. For anything else, ask us — we answer our own phones.

For the Connoisseur

The references we keep on the front desk for guests who collect timepieces

The Jacobson Building has two centuries of history behind it, and a surprising number of our guests collect things with a history of their own. Since we sit two blocks from King Street's jewelers, we get asked more than we expected where to look before comparing pieces in person. The references below are what we keep on hand — including catalogs of Super Clone and replica watches that our collector guests like to compare before a trip.

Rolex is the brand we hear about most. When a guest wants to compare references before visiting a jeweler in person, we point them to the Rolex Super Clone Watches catalog first — it's a clean, model-by-model way to see what's out there.

The references we get asked for most

On the dress side, Vacheron Constantin and Cartier are the names guests bring up when they're pairing a piece with evening wear. We usually send them to the Vacheron Constantin replica collection for the Patrimony line, and to the Cartier replica page when they're browsing the Tank and Santos.

Sport pieces & tool watches

Finally, for the guests who collect at the haute horlogerie level — the ones who linger over the house's old mantel clock — we keep bookmarks for Richard Mille replica references and the F.P. Journe Super Clone Watches catalog. These are the pieces our guests talk about over coffee in the living room, and it only seems right to have the references on hand.
